The wedding summer season was so busy, I had no time to post all these beautiful weddings, photo sessions, and other events we were photographing and filming. I will try to be in touch with you more often from now 🙂 the first event will be Andrea’s Bridal Shower pictures because I just can’t wait to share with you all these creative and inspiring details she prepared for her bridal shower in Vaughan, Ontario.

An Italy Inspired Bridal Shower | Universal Event Space, Vaughan

A bridal shower is a way for friends and family to get together, before the big wedding day, to celebrate the bride. It’s a time for all these people, who mean so much to the couple, to express their good wishes, love, and happiness for the couple. On a beautiful, warm day in July Andrea was surrounded by 100 of her closest loved ones so they could express their joy and share in her excitement as she embarks on this journey with her fiancé. From the moment I entered the room at Universal Event Space in Vaughan, I was completely in love with the care and detail Andrea’s mom and mother in law had put into showering her with love. While this bridal shower may have had more guests than a typical one, I felt like I was part of their family as they welcomed me to the event! The environment was very welcoming and oriented towards friends and family. With lots of laughter and talking going on, there was never a dull moment on this beautiful afternoon and I truly enjoyed capturing all the candid, spontaneous moments for Andrea’s bridal shower photography.

Bridal Shower Lemon Themed Decorations | Bridal Shower Photographer

Showcasing the couple’s Italian background, tables were covered in white linens with matching white chairs to make this space feel completely bridal. I especially loved that each guest could find their name on a unique, and custom-made seating chart featuring blue and white tiles to complement their Italian heritage. Once they found their seats, guests were greeted with yellow floral centerpieces to match a single lemon sitting on each place setting. Each place setting featured bright, white china with pristine cloth napkins.

To begin the afternoon, a wonderful lunch was served to all the guests. For those who are picky eaters, there were various stations available: pasta, barbeque style, and foods with a very Canadian feel to them. Since it was such a beautiful, warm day guests could enjoy these foods inside or outside – the event space offered both options for guests.

Once we all had our fill of food, friends, and family of the couple spent the rest of the afternoon snacking on authentic Italian goodies and sharing in the excitement of the upcoming event. As entertainment for the afternoon began, everyone got to enjoy an Italian musician singing and playing the accordion.

Bridal Shower Favors

Guests didn’t leave empty-handed, though. As a kind of favor to her loved ones, Andrea’s bridal shower offered the chance to win some fantastic prizes! Gift baskets containing a wide range of goodies were given away in a lottery so almost everyone has something to remember the day by. As the activity of the day started to wind down, it was time for the traditional speeches. Andrea’s Maid of Honor gave a heartfelt and moving speech about how happy Andrea is since she met her fiancé and wishing the couple all the love as they embark on this new stage of life together, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house afterward. To finish off the day, we listened to Andrea thank all of her loved ones for coming together to celebrate her day and, especially, her mom and future mother-in-law for putting the day together and show her how excited and happy they are to be celebrating the upcoming day. It was a beautiful day where Andrea was surrounded by those who love her and her fiancé most. It was such an amazing event to photograph, and you could feel all the love in the room. We wish Andrea and her fiancé all of the love on their big day, and for years to come.
